This project was a great opportunity to work wonderful hand dyed yarn and a pattern that had enough interest to keep me moving, but wasn't too challenging. It's a nice introduction to both simple lace and cables.

This was a kit that I bought from Bonkers. The pattern and the yarn are both good, but I wasn't impressed with the generosity when it came to yardage... I had enough, but not enough to feel comfortable about it during the project. If you do this project in Bonkers yarn, be prepared for it to knit up like a board and then soften on blocking. And this definitely isn't "against the skin" yarn.

If I were to make it again, I would probably make the sleeves longer by about an inch. I would probably also opt for a simpler yarn that would show of the design better than the hand dyed.
