Say what you want about the good taste (or lack thereof) of making knitted sweat pants in acrylic yarn, this is not a bad project.

Lion Brand Homespun is subject to splitting, but it's not a noticeable problem given the boucle texture of the yarn.

I modified the pattern and did the whole project in the round instead of knitting it in 4 pieces. The top part ended up being a little bigger than I anticipated, but the drawstring eliminates the problem.

This isn't a project that I wear out on the town, but they do make for comfy around the house in the morning gear. I'd love to find a cotton blend light enough to try this pattern with.
