This
lovely cardigan comes from Colinette's Giotto pattern book.
It's meant to have 5 buttons down the front, but I opted to just tie it at the neck (I made the buttonholes in the button band in case I decided to change my mind, but this fabric is quite stretchy and I think the buttons would end up creating a lot of distortion). This is a fun, light weight cardigan that can dress up or down. The ruffle falls at a flattering level, at least on me -- i.e. just below the hips. The pattern is simple, but beware of their yarn requirements. They indicate that the next size up from this one (34" bust) takes the same amount of yarn, but I don't think I had enough left from my skeins to make the next size up. |
