This project restored my faith in bulky yarn. I've made several projects in very big yarn, but almost none of them have been worn more than once or twice because they just end up making me look strangely proportioned.

Cerys, on the other hand, is a gently shaped jacket, that does the right things for both me and the sweater. Big enough for a turtleneck underneath, but not a tent. The zipper adds a great deal to the functionality of the sweater and improves the liklihood that I will wear it on a regular basis. She went to work with me and did quite well. While I got a little fuzzing on the part of the arm that rested on my desk, it was relatively minimal given what I was expecting from a relatively lightly spun yarn knit at a loose gauge.

What things I might change with this sweater? First, I would probably knit at a slightly denser gauge. It would take more yarn, but give a more durable fabric. 2) I might add another 1/2 inch at the armhole to account for stitches that will be taken into the seams. The armholes on Colinette patterns always seem to be a little bit shallow for me.
