These socks are noteworthy for their use of a tubular cast on for the sock cuff. Other than that, they were knit using Lucy Neatby's Timber Line Toes pattern as a reference. That pattern included a garter stitch short row heel and garter stitch toe. For anyone out there who hates the little gaps that often form in short row heels, this one completely avoids that problem and gives a very nice finished result!
