This sweater is a breeze to make and the yarn is a treat to work with. The yarn requirements are correct if you knit to gauge. There were a couple of small mistakes in the pattern (the increases in the sleeves should be k2 increase 1, k to last 3 increase 1 k2 instead of what is written), but nothing that would spoil the sweater. Also, there is no information in the pattern about making the striping come "match up". When you buy your yarn, pick your balls carefully and make sure you know what order to use them in. Also don't be afraid to "waste" yarn. I had at least 1/2 skein left over after completing everything and that included removing multiple yards from the start of a skein to match the striping better.

This sweater definitly needs to be blocked before assembly and mattress stitch is almost a necessity -- at least for the raglan seams.

This sweater (which was knitted to gauge and blocked to correct dimensions) ends up being a little bit shorter than they make it seem in the picture in the book). It is only moderately loose, so be sure that you have a good sense for your measurements before picking a size.
