This
has got to be one of my all time favorite projects! If you want a excellent
first lace project, I highly recommend this shawl. The pattern is easy to
learn and memorize and the effect is really quite stunning.
This project is also an excellent way to play with color. Matt Waldrop did a spectacular job designing a color way that makes me think of fall in my home state of Michigan. It only takes 5 skeins of Koigu, so it also doesn't do too much damage to your pocketbook. I didn't have to make any changes to the pattern to get it to come together. However, I did use the first color for the crochet edging to which the tassles are attached. |
