I'm feeling Calmer, now...

Hey all!
I am so excited, I just got home from buying my Calmer! I decided to be a rebel and get Calm...it is a beige color that will look quite romantic with that beautiful neckline. I am a hazel-eyed redhead, so I tend to wear muted earth tones. Do redheads have different color rules? I feel I can wear some warm tones and cool tones.
Happy knitting!

I think it's GORGEOUS and will make you look ROSY. Good job! I'm having the hardest time with my own color choice.

Thanks, Janet! What color are you leaning towards? It's such a decision...
I was too impatient to order mine online, but my lys didn't have alot to choose from. The blue was so pretty (Night Sky, I think), but she didn't have enuf.
Dive in and have fun!

I think that it really depends on the color of red and skin tone! I love that color and it is going to look great on you.

Yes, I agree....that color suits you AND depending on the shade of red hair and skin tone, one can wear so many different colors. Some redheads complain that they "can't wear anything," but I've seen pink on some redheads that was STUNNING, and on others, it fell flat. It all depends on the shade of pink, too, I suppose. I generally love jewel tones on redheads. (My mom is one.) That peacock would look lovely on you, too, for example! Anyway, with your face shape, hair, and even your glasses, you are going to look very 50s in Audrey! I picture a turquoise chiffon scarf.........Neato!

Lovely color choice for you Amy! I do wish I could wear such soft, refined colors. It's going to make a lovely sweater!

Hi knitterpeople

just ordered Calmer in coral. I'm a bronzey haired fair skinned girl so this should sit well with me.

Can't wait to get started so I've got some authentic vespa-wear!

By the way I'm from Melbourne Australia

Thanks for all the positive input!
I must share a funny story about the "field trip" Heathre and I took to Chicago on Friday. We decided to tour other yarn shops, so we got an early start and headed to the Windy City from Madison, WI. We both wore springy skirts, our hair was done just right, and I wore my "Audrey" cat-eye makeup. I was on a mission to find the right Calmer, hopefully, at a good price.
It was a beautiful, sunny day. Spring was in the air. At our first stop, we found Rowan Linen Drape 50% off! This was a good sign. We traveled on. The next stop wasn't as good, so we stopped for lunch at a wonderful Italian deli/cafe. A few tables away, a woman proudly displayed her handbag, which featured a picture of Audrey Hepburn highlighted with sequins! Heathre and I squealed in delight (this happened ALOT on Friday). We had full bellies and renewed energy, so we traveled on. En route to our next stop I saw a line of brightly colored Vespa's! I didn't want Heathre to lose control of the vehicle, so I calmly said, "Aren't those Vespa's?" She shouted, "YES!" We believed it a sign...
As it turns out, I ended up buying my Calmer at mlys. That's okay. The field trip was so much fun! I encourage all of you to do the same.

I started Audrey last night. The yarn is wonderful to handle. Have a great day and find some time for you!
