Some Progress to report !

I'm back from my skiing vacation and have some progress to report ! Finished the first sleeve and the back and started on the front, also I had to start on the border just to find out what it might look like.
I followed the instructions for the decreases and increases precisely - which I usually never do with knitting instructions - and I'm rather please with the look of them. I'll try to include a pic, hope that I can figure out how to uplode one ?

Anyway, just wanted to let you all know how much fun this is ! I read through all the entries and find a lot of anwers to questions I also had.

Your Audrey looks great, where did you ski? Was there enough snow left? Living in London without mountains makes snow something alien. I miss seeing snowy mountains. We went to the Lake District over easter and I saw a small patch of snow on a 'mountain'. What mountain? Where? Since my Calmer only arrived this morning, in coral, it looks yummy, I started to knit a baby jumper in DK merino for the trip. On the way there, I nearly finished the front, during the stay I finished the back, and on the way home I did a sleeve. But it got to dark then otherwise I may have finished both sleeves.
Now since we are back, my 6 year old daughter got her kitten. How am I going to knit with a kitten in the house? I waited last night until they both went to bed and quickly did a few rows.
Little Perry is very cute and sweet. I still want to knit though.
Happy knitting!

Hi! Your Audrey certainly does looks great! Is that Jewel that you're using (that's what I decided on)? I just ripped my first piece back because I didn't think I was doing the dart shaping properly and wanted to go up a size (I think the finished measurements that they provide in the pattern diagram must be reflective of when the piece is quite stretched). I was also considering taking on a different shaping method, but after seeing yours, I think I'll just stick to the pattern. If you have close-ups we'd love to see them!

Thank you Karen and Karin for your nice comments ! I'll try to get a good close-up pic tonight and post it tomorrow. I found that after blocking the decreases and increases smoothed out a lot and the stitches were more regular. And yes, to get the measurements in the pattern the pieces have to be stretched out some. I'm making the second-largest size and the color is "Jewel".
