Since you are finished and I am starting over, do you have any tips on sizing to share. I am not quite sure what size to make.

Thanks

Cruz

Wow! Your Audrey is fabulous and the colour is great. It really suits you! And that neckline is sooo cool! After seeing this I think I'm going to have to knit one myself!

Maud, it looks GREAT! And so fast. I'm impressed. I had frogged my audrey for the fourth time today and was truly about to give up, but now I'm inspired again... Great work!!!

Gorgeous, dahling, and to think I haven't even swatched... Get yourself some white capris and cute sandals...

Va-va voom! Skirt, capris, form-fitting trousers, sandals. Maybe some ballet slippers? Cute little totebag with small straps so you can swing it in your hands. No shoulder bags...wouldn't want to obstruct that beautiful collar. Whatever you choose, you look GREAT. Brava, brava! [Applauds madly.]

I haven't used Tiffany's decreases, it's done totally according to the original pattern. I'm looking forward to see how Tiffanys decreases will look in the finished work. Maybe I have to make a second Audrey in a diffrent colour...

I have a 36" bust, and used size S, which according the pattern fits size 36". I would go for an as exact size as possible, but remember, a small ease is taken in by the ribbing. This is a forgiving model in that aspect.

I don't think I'm a very fast knitter, but I have always only one project in progress. My life is filled with quite a lot to do (four children under 14 yo, law studies, small bookkeeping business, garden and a very nice husband) and I find working on more than one knitting at a time being very stressful. I can have yarn for the next project bought, but I don't start it before the previous project is done. The ribbing in Audrey is not a very time consuming pattern.

You look maahhhhvelous! It's just gorgeous -- congratulations! I like the idea of white capris or a skirt (nothing voluminous) and slingy sandals, too, that sweater deserves to be the focus!

Jenny W, don't give up! Audrey not only a nice model,it is wonderful to wear!

It looks great! And the color is wonderful on you!

Spectacular in every way! What an inspiration, Maud!

Maud, would you mind emailing me an up-close photo of your increases in the front? I've done the decreases now according to the pattern and they look great, but I feel like I am having trouble getting the increases right, and I would like to see a picture of how they are supposed to be -- it might help me visualize how they should be done, or reconfirm to me that I am indeed doing them right. My email address is northerneclectic@aol.com

It looks great!

Coongrats!

About sizeing, I seems to have unintentionally added 2 " (wishful thinking...) to my bust when talking in inches. So I have to clarify that I have knitted size S, intended for 34 ", and my bust is 34". I'm used to use cm, and didn't realize I had given wrong inches before I looked in the pattern.

That's lovely, Maud! Well done. To all those stil knitting away, it's well worth it. Don't worry too much about the decreases and increases. Whether you follow the pattern exactly or use Tiffany's method, it's the gorgeous neckline which really draws the eye.

OOhLaLa, Maud!

Stunning AND impeccable! I think this top would look quite frisky with some capri's and heeled strappy sandals.

I've seen alot of chiffon like swing skirts this year - very flattering and you are oh so the right size to wear them...

Posted by: Tiffany at April 19, 2004 06:57 AM

BRAVA, Maud!!
I agree with the soft skirt idea. Above the knee, with just a hint of flounce.
Of course, you could knit a matching skirt!

Your Audrey looks amazing! Excellent job! I can't wait to re-cast on for mine, now! (mine took a bit of a trip to the frog pond, too!)

Looks absolutely mah-velous! That coral color is great, and has me second guessing my own choice. I've got to get knitting!

Posted by: Barbara at April 19, 2004 10:28 AM

Both you and the sweater look absolutely wonderful. Hooray for our first finished Audrey!
