Hi everyone, I posted once, but deleted because the picture was so terrible. I hope this is better. Here are my decreases according to the pattern, since we have been discussing how they are to turn out. Yes, it's all wonky, please forgive that. Thanks for the tip, Julia!

Not bad at all! Just for the record, a little wonkiness doesn't usually bother me - it adds to the homemade appeal. However, I felt that Audrey might need a better solution, since she's so high end! :)
Posted by: Julia at April 21, 2004 03:23 PMHm...I'm wondering if blocking will take away a bit of that wonkiness? I knit a top for my sister in Calmer and after a little blocking, the ribbing and cables lengthened and really evened out nicely. In any event, you're rolling along wonderfully!
Posted by: Becky at April 22, 2004 06:45 AMThanks for the comments, you all. I agree Becky, I think the blocking will help. And, it's funny, but as I go I find it is much smoother as I have done about 5 more inches now... so maybe I am getting used to the yarn. I swear I have knit decent looking ribbing before! ;-)
Julia, I also wanted to mention that in this case the back is WORSE, isn't that funny? Because I have had your experience as well, where the wrong side was better. Hmmmm...
Posted by: Jenny W. at April 22, 2004 07:01 AMBlocking do help, not to talk about washing. I have washed my Audrey, and it looks much smoother now!
Posted by: Maud at April 22, 2004 09:12 AMActually, I was referring to the darts. Your ribbing looks very nice and even.
P.S. Maud's comment is reassuring, especially when taking into account how beautiful her Audrey is!
