This really is the Sophia Loren / Marilyn Monroe of sweaters isn't it ? I mean I know it's an Audrey but shapewise I'm thinking more "DANGER - CURVES AHEAD!" is what we're talking about ??

I've just finished my back and I'm loving it . Gorgeous to knit - gorgeous to look at, so long as you don't look too close at my increases (if you really want to see them there's a better picture on my blog !). I very carefully read all the advice and comments here and then just charged ahead and knitted them as they appeared on the needles before me - fools rush in ! But they're fine if you kind of half-close your eyes and look sideways at them, honest !
Posted by HeatherD at May 4, 2004 06:53 PMI think your increases look fine! There is no link to your blog, where do I find it?
Posted by: Maud at May 5, 2004 12:30 AMWhy thank you Maud - it's amazing the effect the slight blurring my digital camera has on them, they're a bit more ropey in real life ! You'll find me at http://www.dollydimpleknits.prettyposies.com/
Posted by: Heather at May 5, 2004 04:29 AMHeather, I don't need no wonky glasses or half-closed eyes to see that your back looks GREAT. C'mon! Excellent work :-)
P.S. The color you chose is lovely. Very classy. Which shade is it?
Posted by: Becky at May 5, 2004 03:07 PMHi Becky
The shade's Calmer - which is a real departure for me. I'm usually not a pastels girl but I like the way it's working out. Plus I have the perfect skirt for it in shades of blue/green with just the tiniest hint of pale lilac. Just call me Queen of the May !
Posted by: Heather at May 5, 2004 04:23 PMThat colour looks lovely. It's better than what appears on the shade card! Look forward to seeing the finished sweater.
