The Perfect Sleeve

After a weekend of ripping, reknitting, finding my mistakes, adjusting, and ripping and reknitting some more, I managed to produce a perfectly-sized sleeve for Audrey.

Of course, with my row gauge being off, the adjusted sleeve shaping doesn't match the non-adjusted body shaping where it's supposed to attach to.

Luckily, I think I just need to rip the body back to where the sleeve shaping starts. I reworked the pattern in about 10 minutes this morning (I'm getting pretty good at that!), so once I get the second sleeve done, I'll be ready to roll on fixing the body pieces.

Oddly enough, all of this reworking and reknitting hasn't really discouraged me. If anything, I'm feeling very encouraged by my ability to figure out where my problems have been and adjust the pattern accordingly. It's almost as if I actually know what I'm doing! At the end of this all, I'm confident that I'll have a perfectly-sized Audrey that I can be proud of.

Dawn - great job! You've really learned something with Audrey, which is the most important part. I'm sure it will look fabulous when you finish, and that after the care you've put in you'll be ready to design something of your very own.
