Lace

Finally I am now starting the lace. Looking over the directions, I'd like to know what and how do I do the YFRN. Oddly, this abbreviation isn't even listed in the Rowan's Information Page!

What I could find on the YFRN, you bring the working yarn in front of the right needle as if to YO, then you wrap it around the right needle? Isn't that like a double YO??

Just want to be clear.

Thanks!

Hi Kate. I think that it is the same as a regular yarnover, but because the next stitch is a purl (actually p2tog) you have to bring the yarn farther around than normal. That's how I did it, and I think it looks right. Now if only I could figure out how to sew it onto the body, I'd be all set!

Hi Kate! Yes, I had the same moment of confusion when I started knitting the lace on an airplane without any reference books around me... It's "Yarn Forward and Round Needle". Since your next stitch is a purl, your yarn's already forward, so that's why you need to wrap it around the needle for any lacy stuff to happen.

Andrea thanks so much for your comments! Can't wait to see your finished Audrey!

Felicia,I think I've got it now. I just completed one set of the repeats, and so far, all looks well. Only 17 or so more to go!

Thank You!!
