The Downward Slope of the Kukui Trail

This photo is a pretty accurate impression of the quality and difficulty of the Kukui Trail. Most of the descents were like this or steeper, making for a relatively slow descent. Clearly the water run off after it rains has an impact onthe trail. This trail, while lovely, is sadly not a trail that can be used by everyone. And even we wished we had our hiking boots instead of our athletic shoes. Photo taken on the afternoon of October 5, 2006.
