Sunset Single

Just a quick post to show off the colors in one of my "Sunset" colorways (this is the lower roving in the picture from yesterday). I'm very pleased with the luminous yellows and deep reds and am looking forward to converting this single into a two-ply yarn.
I'm not sure yet whether I am going to spin the second Sunset roving or go to one of the other colorways. I have to admit that my inner blue person is attracted by my ocean inspired colorway. I just love these 1/2 ounce pieces, though. I can easily get it spun up on my drop spindle in an evening. I know spinning isn't an instant gratification sort of fiber art, but I still like it when I can finish something in one reasonable sitting.

Your yarn is a great colour combo and the evenness of the spinning is terrific. I am so envious of you saying that BFL is so easy to get and cheap. Here in Australia, I haven't seen any at all, and it sounds wonderful. Could you let me know your supplier so I can check out whether the costs would be do-able for me to try it?
I have had a great time looking through your spinning-related entries. I traced your obsession back to the beginning to see when your passion first developed. I have to say, you've come a long way in a very short time. I love what you are doing with dyeing and the stuff you are spinning. If you ever do move up to the wheel, be careful; there is nothing I have found outside the bedroom that can put you in such a blissful state of relaxation. I didn't see whether you have the Twisted Sisters Sock Workbook, but it has it all: spindle spinning, dyeing, knitting with singles, and more. I love that book. I haven't been spinning lately due to a busier than usual summer, but I just made my first real foray into dyeing and that fiber is just aching to get spun. Soon. Maybe even this weekend. Anyway, keep up the good work. (As if you could stop.)
WOW! I love that yarn. That is an amazing colorway. I would love to see that knit up as a lovely little lace piece, WOW. Really, WOW!
Beautiful colors - my inner pink/orange/red person is very attracted to them!
You spun my favorite first! Cool!
Those reds and yellows turned out to be quite in the spirit of fall. Absolutely beautiful. But what do you do with a mere 0.5oz batch of hand-dyed yarn?
Oh wow. Such gorgeous colors. It just glows.
Oh, that looks just beautiful! If I'd realized, I SO would have voted for that color! The name is perfect, too.
So pretty! And you are so much quicker than me! I spun up a little of my yellow/green last night. I was going to try to navajo 3-ply half of it and 2-ply the other half. If I get my act together, I may ply the first half and take pictures later.
I can't wait to see yours plied!!
I'm not a huge fan of spinning and often don't have much to say about the subject, so I just don't comment. The autumn colorway is coming along beautifully and I will enjoy seeing it once it's plied too. Beautiful colors.
Just stunning! The colors work so well together. You're just a dyeing, spinning diva, aren't you :)
Wow. That roving came out beautiful spun. I am very impressed. I want you to knit something with it so we can all see. It would be gorgeous.
You're doing such a stupendous job with the spinning. Hooray!
Love the Sunset colorway.
If you spin it, we will knit.

One of the members of my fiber guild has a saying: "Yarn is a finished product!" The singles are lovely. Can't wait to see this plied. The question is, how are you intending to ply it? Back onto itself, Navajo, or other?
Beautiful colors! Ilove autumn colors!
Lovely subtle colors, nicely spun.
Wow - your dyeing and spinning are coming along apace! I'm a blue (undertone) girl too and those sunsetty colourways are lovely! I'm feeling a bit jealous now - Lyn noted BFL is not available in Oz and i only have enough for one set of socks...
(and happy anniversary for nearly a week ago - you ot a keeper!)
That is sooo pretty, I can't wait to see the Hawaiian blue...
