Just 7 Years Too Late for Me

This has probably been making the rounds already, but just in case -- the link takes you to An Entirely Knitted Wedding.

There's some pretty impressive stuff to see as you look through the galleries. I'm impressed (especially with all the knitted food!), but given that I had an August wedding in Chicago, I think I'm glad that I just get to watch and didn't have to wear!

OH MY GOSH! that just looks like so much fun...and now, i am seriously thinking about a knitted bouquet for my own wedding...what a fantastic reminder of the day, no? if all my knitting friends made me a flower? hehe

I remember seeing the request for knitted items to be donated (and yes, Rosemary's right...they said knit or crochet), and thinking that was a fun thing, but I never had time to do anything for it.

I can see staging something like this for a photo op, but I can't imagine doing it for your actual wedding. I'm just too much of a perfectionist (a patchwork dress?), and a lot of the donations were pretty cheesy. I'm much impressed with someone who is so open as to leave so much up to others, and accept all that's offered.

Well said, Leisel -- you expressed exactly what I felt but couldn't put into words.
