I want to welcome a few new sock knitters: Jess, Kristi and Nathalie have joined the project -- all of them have finished or are almost finished with a pair of socks. Polly and Wendy have been busy, too, and have both finished a pair of socks and are already started on their next pairs.
Where am I? Well, I've finished the first of John's green Dragon Scale socks (more on that tomorrow) and I've started my dad's socks:

I'm thinking I might have to make him sing "Hail to the Victors" before I give them to him.
In sum total, we're up to 18 pairs of finished socks for our family and friends. Everybody knitting along, please feel free to "check in" in the comments and let me know your latest progress.

I've started socks for my daughter Hannah. Twice because the first ones were too small. I think I've got it now, though!
I think I am going to have to succumb and join you :-)
Recently finished reknitting a pair of socks for hubby (does that count if they have been knitted before:-)
I have another pair on the needles for him and now he has discovered the joys of home knit socks there is no stopping him!
Poor Long Suffering Husband's socks are almost finished but I was seduced by some Trekking XXL in color 104 so I cast on a pair of toe ups for my mom. And a ball of Trekking in color 134 (a brand new for spring! color) is sitting on my desk mocking me.
For any of your team that needs/wants a sock pattern for toddlers, visit my blog at http://trekcelt.blogspot.com/2006/01/little-runes.html. This pattern uses Cascade Fixation/Elann Sock It to Me Esprit and makes really comfy child's socks. I've made three pairs so far for my toddler and she loves them.
The UMich socks look cool. Wonder if there is a Rutgers colorway (red/black/white) or a Monmouth U (blue/white)?
i have loved the dragon sock adventure
and i anxiously await the pattern
will there be one for women's sizes
or should i attempt to figure that out myself
i have been checking daily to see the progress
thank you for the fun
Arrgh! I've been loving the Dragon Scale socks, but the sight of the UMich will have to send me into hiding for a couple days. (I'm from Ohio. It burns my eyes!) Maybe I'll feel strong enough to check back at the end of the week.
Theresa, quick question!
DBF and i would like to go out for a nice dinner a week from tomorrow. (yeah. a tuesday. cuz we have spring break same week for once) is there a yummy, nice Italian place within walking distance (2 miles or so) of Union or Ogilvie? or any sugesstions in that vicinity? or an easy way to search online...
thanks :)
GO BLUE! Ahem. Sorry -- got carried away a bit there. Love the dragon scale socks too! :-)
