Infintesimal Progress

This photo, unfortunately, represents an entire afternoon's work weaving in ends on Liberty. I say "unfortunately" because this also represents just the ends on one edge of the back of the top -- I still have five more edges to go! Insert big sigh here. I am trying to soldier on, but the road is daunting.
I might have gotten a bit farther if John and I hadn't gone out to see Spamalot! tonight at the Cadillac Palace Theatre here in Chicago. If you like yourself some Monty Python (and the husband and I do) Spamalot is a great evening. It's hard to explain why my favorite line is "That's just not something you usually admit to a heavily armed Christian" if you haven't seen the show. Context is everything. Especially with Python. And both John and I completely cracked up over that line.
I'm going to have to work really hard to come up with something better than a larger pile of ends to show off tomorrow!

oh Theresa, your sweater is looking so lovely! Cannot wait to see it on you.
I just started knitting a tank top...now that it's winter again here, eh?
Glad you enjoyed Spamalot. when i saw it was returning, i got really excited and really wanna try and get there.
Ew! Who let the spambot in? Not even Monty Python spam, sadly.
"That's just not something you usually admit to a heavily armed Christian"
Unfortunately, T, that line is something I am tempted to say fairly often, and I haven't seen the show yet. Perhaps I should check it out, and those moments will get even funnier.
May your finishing be copious... I can't wait to see more Liberty. (Actually, I'm looking for sock photos too. Where art thou, socks?)
"I fart in your general direction".....I am so very jealous...Can not wait for this show to make it to San Fransisco. Glad to hear you enjoyed the show.
Patience with Liberty....she is going to be BEAUUUUUUUUTIFULLLLLLLLL once she is all done.
Anyways...I am off to cheer with the Lady and her Laker girls :+)
We saw Spamalot in Boston last month and it was fabulous. "I'm not dead yet" is quoted quite frequently in my house. And also "it's a flesh wound"
Oh, I wanna see it! I was raised on Monty Python. My father is a stern German type, but Monty Python makes him laugh out loud. :)
I love your liberty sweater. I've done a search, but can't seem to find the pattern. Would you be able to tell me where to get it?
Thank you.
oh my- what does it say about me that I don't see any problem of context-free daily use of the phrase 'that's just not something you usually admit to a heavily armed christian.'? i also like 'cram it with walnuts, ugly!' from Homer J. but then, I think my friends are used to me not making a lot of sense or funny to anyone else but me...
I saw Spamalot in New York last June (just before it won the Tony).
It is definitely a fun show.
Theresa, are you threading your yarn ends in a needle and weaving them into your sweater to finish the ends off? I use a crochet hook to pull my ends through and can finish ends off quite quickly. For some reason my seasoned knitting buddies never thought of doing it that way until I proved how quickly it goes. I guess it was something that I learned with 30 years of crocheting experience. You have to use a crochet hook for the size of yarn that you are using to get through the back loops of the knitting quickly.

Haw! I don't think I even need context. That's just brilliant!
