Return of Spring Knitting

The First Outdoor Knitting of Spring
There are lots of ways to mark the change of the seasons. One way I mark the transition from winter to spring is when I can start to sit on my small balcony in the sunshine without a sweater on and enjoy a bit of knitting or reading or spinning. Overall, this week has been quite nice in Chicago and Liberty and I took advantage of that fact and made some progress towards leaving Sleeve Island while enjoying some podcasts in the sunshine.
I'm hoping tomorrow will bring me to closer to being able to catch the boat from Sleeve Island to the Isles of Copius Finishing. And I'm going to be helped along by the Chicago Public Library. Now you can "borrow" audiobooks electronically. How cool is that?

I did exactly the same thing yesterday. In fact your setup looks almost exactly the same as mine except I don't have an Ipod...yet. Isn't spring wonderful?
Enjoy! I am still cleaning my patio for the season. The borrowed e-books are great. The New York Public Library does the same thing and I am in heaven.
I so agree that the true start to spring is knitting and spinning outdoors. Enjoy!
I wish that MY library would let ME borrow audiobooks electronically. sigh....
I wish I had a Chicago address. That is amazingly cool.
Whoa. Whoa! Borrowed e-books! I can skip that step now where I burn all the CDs and accidentally leave the last one in my computer when I take it back to the library? Sweet!
Besides babies in knitted gifts, I am moved by knitters' knitting spaces - yours is cool, compact comfy. Nice to find that real comfy niche!
Now that is cool! Gee, it should only take my library 10 years to have that. I now have Library envy.
Isn't Overdrive fantastic? We've had it in my library system since last Fall and people really love it. I wish more libraries would take the plunge and offer it.
Yeah for spring! Our library recently added electronic audiobook lending as well and I'm loving it!
Oh, I covet your balcony... *sigh*
Ooh nice set up!
What an inspiration you are. I think I'll sit outside and knit today.
That looks like a lovely afternoon.
I'm so happy that you use the library!!
Cool! I can't wait to get knitting outside. But I'm pretty happy now with the rainy days we are having. We truly needed them. It almost feels like summer -too fast.
