Random Eye Candy Thursday?
The last two days have seen a little knitting, but a lot of general lack of motivation. I'm not sure whether to chalk this up to being 34 weeks pregnant or just to the weather, but clearly it doesn't lead to that much that is bloggable. So instead of rambling too much, I thought I'd just share a picture I took a little while ago that makes me happy and is one of the elements of my baby's nursery -- though not quite in the right color scheme.

Garden Visitor
One of the only things I regret about being in the city and having a lot of shade in the lot our house sits on is that I can't really grow a butterfly garden. Perhaps Z and I will just have to do that at my parents house. I like the idea of my baby's life being filled with butterflies.

Isn't there a butterfly garden somewhere in Chicago? Seems to me i remember a news reporter on Channel 7 being covered with them while reporting from there one day. I think it was Joel Daly.
Have you visited the Notebaert museum in Lincoln Park? They have an amazing butterfly room.
And it will be filled with butterflies and beauty !
Put your feet up and just veg. It's good for you. :0)
yes yes! relax and knit and have a cup of tea!
glad to hear you are doing well and the quilt looks so wonderful! :o)
Glad to hear that you're doing well~
I live on a lot that's mostly shade & we've found a few plants that bring us lots of butterflies & hummingbirds. You might want to look into Morning Glories, Wisteria, and Clematis. The morning glories especially do well in the shade & bloom most of the summer.
nice picture. a life filled with butterflies is a beautiful image. btw, have you ever been to the butterfly haven at the notebaert nature museum? i think it would be just the thing. :)
Z's quilt is amazing! Nice work with the color and motif use. I'm sure she'll urp on it with the utmost appreciation! ;)
Quilt is coming along beautifully!
Funny -I believe I had the same type of butterfly visitor this morning! I also posted a pic- scroll down to see;)
