The Eleventh Square: More Light at the End of the Tunnel

More squares today. For the first time in a long time I managed to get in a work from home day where I was pretty much able to be focused on the geeky side of my work life. So fun to get completely absorbed in interacting with code (although, I know, clearly that beauty is the eye of only particular beholders).

It seems that the more of these squares I put together, the better the centers seem to come together. Must be something to that whole practicing thing after all. I had a hard time deciding whether to have more of the greenery in the center or to put the reds and flowery bits there. In the end, I liked how the ring of flowers created the illusion of the star being the center of a flower.

Only one more star left until the finish line! Well, at least until I have to start putting the squares into a larger whole.

This is my favourite square by far, no matter how you tempt me though, I will not quilt!

It's funny the things we find satisfying (in work & life) that others just don't understand.

I am really looking forward to seeing all the squares together.

I've really enjoyed watching this quilt come together, but this square is my favorite. It's going to look terrific when it's all finished. You have me thinking that I would like to take this class.

Each square is even prettier than the last! I'm looking forward to seeing it all put together.

well done! no small accomplishment you've got there. i am quite nerdy myself and enjoy futzing around with code and the like as well.

I do love the colors and the way they morph from reds, to greens with blue then yellow -- very satisfying! Code would not have the same effect on me, personally, but I know how good it feels to have everything just WORK and flow, no matter what the subject is.

Absolutely gorgeous! This project will be a work of art!

Yes, I agree, it's a great block and my favorite so far. The center looks like a bracelet of pink And green pearls. Can't wait to see the finished quilt.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this all put together. I think it's going to be amazing! Lucky baby.

I love this quilting project, it is such a beautiful exploration of colour. I'm looking forward to seeing how all of the blocks will be laid out in the final product and how all of the blocks will work together.

This is my favorite!
