Silk Road, Thursday
After plying, the yarn had almost no extra twist. Ah, balance!
Finished yarn in a cool bath with a little gentle baby shampoo Not an iota of dye came out of this fiber.
After much fiddling I think I have rooted out the problems with my comments. I know that yarn getting a bath is not the most inspiring subject material, but if a few people would be so kind as to leave a comment just to help me confirm that they do actually work, I'd be much obliged!

Love to read your blog. I have the same problems with underplying, so I'm glad to know that I'm not alone!
It is a bit of work to sign in to make a comment. I think I did it before but the computer didn't remember me. I love your blog, love Baby Z, and love the silk yarn. Joanna
I've found that it can be much more twisty than that and still be balanced after wetting.
Did it work?
Yes, it did.
Mmm. Silk. Your yarn looks very nice. I'm enjoying your spinning mini-series. :) Someday, I'll jump off the spinning cliff.
Pretty! If you can't think of a use for it, I'll gladly give it a new home. ;) Enjoy your knitting with it!
Yarn bath! Its always great when that bath runs clear.
Woo-hoo! Comment-able, indeed! I have enjoyed watching this small bit of loveliness make its journey, but had been unable to comment thus far.
I tried so hard to leave you a comment yesterday to tell you what a lovely trip down the silk road you'd taken (and thank baby Z and, possibly, your husband for the time to take that trip!) -- but as you know, there was no commenting being allowed, I just kept getting error messages!
I was going to try to email....
So happy to be able to comment and see the beautiful yarn. Mmm.
Your blog says you posted at 12:43 a.m. Were you really shampooing your yarn in the middle of the night? You've done so much, and so well -- I can't wait 'til you start weaving!
Best wishes to you and Baby Z and her Daddy.
Joanne
Your yarn is beautiful. There are so many lovely lace pieces around I'm sure you'll find something worthy.
I will, so long as you post a picture so we can all see Ms. Z! :)
