The Rogue Gets a Pocket
Rogue has definitely been on my "hard to put down" list when it comes to knitting projects. As I've mentioned many times before, I love projects where there is some cable work surrounded by a lot of simple knitting. I get the fun of working with some texture, but the product knitter in me gets the sheer joy of watching something large come together quickly.
Now that I've got the pocket attached, I'm getting to the point where I can imagine wearing this sweater. And while the weather is still more like summer than fall here in Chicago, the colder weather is just around the corner and it would be really lovely to have a new sweater to welcome in fall (and to celebrate the fact that my post-baby weight loss efforts are paying off).
I know many of you are already very familiar with this cable, but I am so happy with how this yarn shows them off that I just couldn't resist another picture.

Beautiful! I still want to make that one. Yeah, Hubby and I walked out the door at 7 this morning...and were surprised by how warm it was! Yesterday was so blustery. Waiting for sweater weather....

Well, crap. Somehow I'd avoided seeing that pattern before, and I, too, have a love for cables surrounded by simplicity. (Hence the recent Celtic Totes for both sisters, love them.)

I may be familiar with that cable, but I haven't yet tired of it... yours looks really lovely, especially in that colour!
