Our second day on Kauai started off with an early morning dip in the ocean. John and I explored tide pools in the coral (for which there are no pictures because it was not a camera friendly place to go) and discovered more sea urchins than we could count. After naptime (during which I both got myself sunburned and discovered that I had made a mistake in the pink edging on the main body of Lotus that required I rip it completely out

Happy vacation!
I might not be on vacation, but I'll take the beautiful weather we've been having since Friday morning after a month of rain and clouds. I would be salivating after your gorgeous photos if we hadn't gotten a much needed shot of sun over the weekend!
thank you for posting so many great pictures of your vacation! my husband and i were just there in the fall and it's reminding me of our fun adventures, going to his old haunts and getting a glimpse into his past. can't wait to see more! :o)
xo, elaine.
Gorgeous photos! I have been gradually changing my mind about the idea of visiting Hawaii over the past several years. Caramel Coconut Macadamia Nut ice cream - could it possibly be as yummy as it sounds? How was Ms Z on the plane? My youngest grand is a few months older & DD is worried about 4 hour flight from SF to Chicago with her (I think she'd be fine with a window seat; her brothers had both flown by that age but on shorter flights & they didn't sound like air raid sirens when they were unhappy.)
