While I continue to ponder what I am going to do with my new handspun, and whether I am going to spin the contrasting chocolately brown that I purchased to go with it (I was thinking sock heels and toes, but now I am not so sure I want this lovely stuff to be hidden in my shoes), I decided to get back in touch with an ongoing project. It seemed a little silly to let Nicole languish with just two short straps to complete, so I put aside my wheel for a bit to rectify the situation.
And because I love the lace details:
All that remains now are the armhole and neckline treatments and then I'll be off to shop for buttons while I block it out. Much blocking she will need, will Nicole, if she is going to lay right and not have a curly bottom. I'm quite looking forward to getting her to the end zone.

Nicole is a very cute top. I love how varied the lace patterning is. It makes for a stunning visual.
can't wait to see the pictures of you wearing this on the deck--lovely knit!
It's beautiful! And the yarn you chose looks perfect. I am knitting a complex cable sweater now, and I fear I chose the wrong yarn. The cables just don't pop out like yours do. Sigh!
This is really, really pretty! Congratulations.
I was wondering if you'd knit a scarf as that yarn is just so pretty and looks from here like colors you wear near your face.
It is just gorgeous! I'm always so jealous for anyone who has the patience for a complicated garment. I supposed I'm too ADHD for it. HOwever, if you don't mind I'll knit vicariously through yours! LOL.
You and Chic Knits designs were made for each other! You do such lovely work.
Lovely!
I love the way your yarn has brought out all the textures. I am making mine in Dale of Norway Svale. How are you going to block yours? Wet blocking or steam blocking?
How is your precious Miss Z?
I love this lace tank! It is simply so elegant (and you haven't even blocked it yet) - I can wait to see it finished!
Nicole is lovely!
